Sadly due to ill health i am now giving up breeding until further notice.
This page will be all about the time with rabbits and how it all started which was when i was 3 years old... (1974)!!
I started off with 2 red eyed whites who were named Tom and Jerry i had them a few years then i got a Flemish giant who grew big very quick, at about 4 years old i was holding him but not properly and dropped him on the garden, he ran off into the fields behind my mums bungalow.
A few weeks later he came back on the lawn with a family, so i decided to let him go and be happy, (I was 10 years old), this is where my love for rabbits set in seeing how happy he was although i remember being sad myself.
Secondary school started flew by and i left at 16 and by 19 i had met a woman who is now my wife and we got a rabbit for our first child well was really mine knowing kids soon give up.
We had a few dwarf lops bred them and provided the local pet shop.
After moving i went into mini lops and this is where it all really started i did have a few French lops too.
We lost a doe when her babies were only 2 weeks old, my wife and i hand reared all 8 of them they were weighed daily and they all survived, by 10 weeks old all were sold.
After that i decided to buy good show stock i travelled all over the country like Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Doncaster, Essex, Nottingham, Northampton, Kings Lynn, Worcester and had some delivered from Wales.
My favourites are blue eyed white (BEW), chocolate all varieties and orange.
